About
I am an award winning documentary Cinematographer and Director of Photography specialising in natural history, science and adventure films but have also been working in feature docs, factual, advertising, live events and corporate films.
From deserts to oceans, high altitude mountain tops jungles and cities for the last 15 years my work has taken me all over the world. I have extensive experience in remote and hostile environments but am equally at home in more domestic urban environments and studio based work. I love working with people just as much as with wildlife and have worked on films that bridge the two.
I work as a self contained unit as a self shooting director as well as part of a larger team be that at the helm as DOP or as a member of a team of operators. I love the collaboration filmmaking requires and pride myself as a team player. I am as comfortable working on the shoulder as on a long lens or gimbal.
I work on large scale blue chip series, sync based documentaries and observational work as well as content and adverts for all the major broadcasters streamers, online platforms and apps. I have a solid understanding of the technical side of filmmaking, being very comfortable lighting for small macro shoots up to full scale crewed studio commercials work.
I am creatively driven and I strive to bring the best images out of any situation.
